The Coated Abrasives Fabricators Association(CAFA) annual convention will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 25-28,2015.
As a member of CAFA, we are very pleased to be invited to participate in this convention. We will have the opportunity with other friends in abrasives industry to learn and discuss the technology & development of abrasive industry.
According to the thickness of the steel plate, thin steel plate <4 mm (the thinest 0.2 mm), medium thick steel plate 4~60 mm, extra thick steel plate 60~115 mm.
Steel plate is divided into hot rolled and cold rolled.
The width of the sheet is 500~1500 mm; The width of the thickness is 600~3000 mm. According to the type of steel, there are ordinary steel, high quality steel, alloy steel, spring steel, stainless steel, tool steel, heat resistant steel, bearing steel, silicon steel and industrial pure iron sheet; According to professional use, there are oil barrel plate, enamel plate, bulletproof plate and so on; According to the surface coating, there are galvanized sheet, tin sheet, lead sheet, plastic composite steel plate, etc.
The steel type of thick steel plate is roughly the same as that of thin steel plate. In all aspects of the product, in addition to bridge steel plate, boiler steel plate, automobile manufacturing steel plate, pressure vessel steel plate and multi-layer high-pressure vessel steel plate and other varieties are pure thick plate, some kinds of steel plate such as automobile girder steel plate (thick 2.5~10 mm), pattern steel plate (thick 2.5~8 mm), stainless steel plate, heat-resistant steel plate and other varieties are crossed with thin plate.
In addition, the steel plate and the material said, not all steel plates are the same, the material is not the same, the steel plate used in the place, is not the same.
Steel pipe is not only used to transport fluids and powdery solids, exchange heat, and make machine parts and containers, it is also an economic steel. Using steel pipe to make building structure grid, pillar and mechanical support, can reduce weight, save 20 ~ 40% metal, and can realize the factory mechanized construction. Using steel pipe to make highway bridge can not only save steel, simplify construction, but also greatly reduce the area of protective coating, save investment and maintenance costs.
Steel pipe according to the production method can be divided into two categories: seamless steel pipe and welded steel pipe, welded steel pipe referred to as welded pipe.
1. According to the production method, seamless steel pipe can be divided into: hot-rolled seamless pipe, cold-drawn pipe, precision steel pipe, hot-expanded pipe, cold-spun pipe and extruded pipe, etc.

Seamless steel pipe is made of high quality carbon steel or alloy steel, hot rolled, cold rolled (drawing).
2. Welded steel pipe is divided into furnace welded pipe, electric welding (resistance welding) pipe and automatic arc welding pipe due to its different welding forms, which are divided into straight seam welded pipe and spiral welded pipe. Because of the shape of its end, it is also divided into circular welded pipe and special-shaped (square, flat, etc.) welded pipe.
Welded steel pipe is made of rolled tubular steel plate welded by joint or spiral joint. In the manufacturing method, it is divided into welding steel pipe for low pressure fluid transmission, spiral welded steel pipe, direct coiled welded steel pipe, electric welded pipe, etc. Seamless steel pipe can be used in various industries of liquid pressure pipe and gas pipe, etc. Welding pipe can be used for water pipe, gas pipe, heating pipe, electrical pipe and so on.
According to the pipe material (that is, steel), steel pipe can be divided into: carbon pipe and alloy pipe, stainless steel pipe, etc.
Carbon tube can also be divided into ordinary carbon steel pipe and high quality carbon structure pipe.
Alloy tube can be divided into: low alloy tube, alloy structure tube, high alloy tube, high strength tube. Bearing tube, heat and acid resistant stainless tube, precision alloy (such as removable alloy) tube and high temperature alloy tube.
Connection type classification
According to the connection method of pipe end, steel pipe can be divided into: light pipe (pipe end without thread) and wire pipe (pipe end with thread).
Wire pipe is divided into: ordinary wire pipe and pipe end thickened wire pipe.
Thickening wire tube can also be divided into: external thickening (with external thread), internal thickening (with internal thread) and internal and external thickening (with internal and external thread), etc.
According to the thread type, the wire pipe can also be divided into ordinary cylindrical or taper thread and special thread.
In addition, according to the needs of users, the wire pipe is generally equipped with pipe fittings for delivery.
